I haven't written a post in ages because of various things keeping me busy. This post is going to be a pot potpourri of random thoughts.

The other day I was listening to a program on NPR. The topic was this- freshmen joining college and the issues at hand that they have to face.
One caller called to narrate her son's problem.Her son has been allotted a roommate who is gay.What is the problem you ask? well, her son wasn't comfortable with the idea of sharing a room with a this person and so he requested for a change.The college made a big deal out of this and basically told the kid that he would have to love with the situation( pun not intended :) ) or join another college.

I think we are over doing this whole being friendly to LGBT people and being politically correct about it.Before you label me as homophobic- let me explain. Think about it, if this guy had an issue with sharing a room with a girl , that would be OK- why? because it is understandable that there will be sexual tensions involved and you cannot be completely free in your own room. For eg:- you would feel weird changing in front of the said girl, because of the sexual element involved- right? Wouldn't the same thing apply to a gay room mate. Yes- we understand that the tension here would be uni directional and the gay person might not do anything about it, but he would steel feel attracted to a male , the same way a girl is - right? how is that different?Why should the poor boy be left to feel uncomfortable for the sake of political correctness?

This whole SRK being retained in the Newark airport for 2 hrs has been talked to death. Here's my take- retaining him just because his name is Muslim - WRONG. Should he be treated any different from another seedha-sada man names SRK? Hell NO!

Is it just me or is TV getting progressively boring these days? sighhhhhh
