This and That

- HD IS HERE! yes he is! finally!He has moved to my place and we actually LIVE together! unbelievable.:)
Well, consider almost 1 year of long distance marriage and about 4 years of a long distance courtship before, you will understand the importance of this :)

- I went to Las Vegas for CES( Consumer Electronics Show), on behalf of my company- was just amazing. It a techie's heaven- really!

- We are still setting up our new apartment.ongoing....

My mom was telling about her friend's daughter.This is a well educated and employed girl.her parents got her married to some boy in the US. They knew the family very well and felt they were reliable. The crook took off to the US after the wedding and promised to take the wife with him in a couple of months- it has been 2 DAMN years. No sign of any progress.Meanwhile this poor girl is living with her aging in laws.The girl's family just discovered that the guy already has a family in the US!!here is the icing on the cake- this girl is not letting her parents talk to her in laws about this mess. She feels that they are her "family" now and she should not offend them. When my mom tried to talk her, she said "marriage is only once and what ever happened with her is her fate"-- what?????????????????In this day and age??!!I mean it is very sweet of her to be considerate to her aging in laws and all that- but why be submissive and accepting?? If they love her as much as she respects them,they would understand - right?? Argh!
